Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary
Bentley's custom coachbuilding division, Mulliner, has designed a unique keycase to celebrate the brand's centenary. It is constructed of Dark stained Walnut with Piano Black Veneer and includes a fluttering "B" paperweight keys, as well as an unreleased booklet with 1930s 8 Litre images.

The configuration that is created is then loaded onto individual R.F.I.D.-enabled key cards that are then presented to guests in a handmade key case. Bentley estimates that it takes around 500 man-hours to build and assemble a Mulsanne. The reluctance to embrace modern technology is the key to this time-consuming task. The Crewe factory workers do not employ a machine to place perfectly matched cross stitched leather seats. Instead they do it by hand. Drivers have to park their cars manually, rather than using sensors built-in to guide them into perpendicular and parallel spots.
At the event, Bentley presented its Mulliner personalization options with one of a kind that was the Mulsanne W.O. The Mulsanne W.O. Edition pays tribute to the man who founded the company, William Osler Bentley. The 100 limited edition cars include a key that displays an item from the 1930 8 Litre crankshaft.
